Anyone have some ideas they want to share on how they hang their sticks. There's got to be a better way than the way I do it. I hang the 1st stick from the ground of course then I connect the strap of each of the other 2 sticks as if the stick was on the tree, I then hang those around my neck with the sticks on my back and carry the last stick up to hang. As I hang that step I then climb up and hang the other two. I also have two ropes attached to my harness on one end and attached to my stand and to my bow. Really not bad but their has to be a better way without coming down after each hang. Anyone?

I must be missing something here b/c what you posted sounds like the exact way I hang my sticks and stand. I can go up the tree, hanging sticks as I go, then hang stand, climb onto the platform and hoist up my bow all in one climb.

I connect all 4 sticks, strap the bottom one in, then go up and strap each individual stick in as i go higher. I then pull my stand up that was attached to my bow hoist, and strap it in. Takes about 10 minutes.

I then leave them in the same tree and continually kill deer out of them year after year.

This is what my son-in-law and I did yesterday and it worked great. We took my telescoping ladder with us and put it up first on the opposite side of the tree we wanted the climbing stick on. We then secured it to the tree with a ratchet strap. You could the just put the straps on the climbing stick very easily as you ascend the ladder. Very simple and very easy. If your ladder is tall enough you can also use it to go ahead and hang the stand.

    Blessings.......Pastorjim

    Hang the bottom stick.

    Put sticks 3 & 4 hanging from each arm/shoulder.

Stand on my back, I'm holding stick 2.

Climb on stick 1, place stick 2, then 3, then 4 as I go up. When I reach the top I hang my stand.
My bow hoist is clipped to me. If it's warm out & I have no extra layers to put on. I climb in stand & pull up the bow. If it's cold & I have more layers yet, I clip hoist rope to stand. Climb down, add clothes. Climb up & pull bow up.

I posted this once before so I just copied it here with a couple corrections.

When I get to the tree I am going up I take the stand off my back and lean against the tree. Unattach my pack and quiver and set them near the bow, then I set the stand on the ground. I take the first two sticks and put them on the tree without using the flipline. They are not high enough for me to worry about falling yet. Then I grab the next two sticks and the EZ hang strap. I get onto the top of the second stick, put the flipline around the tree, lean back and attach the third stick, climb to the top of that and start looking for the platform height as now I am getting close. I now attach the fourth stick, determine my platform height and then put the EZ hang strap around the tree. Climb back down, tie my pull rope(attached to my pack) to bow and quiver, put the stand over one arm and climb up, flipline goes around after getting past second stick. When I get to the EZ hang strap, I get the stand off of my arm and raise the seat bar, hook it on the stand strap and then attach the second stand strap on the bottom versa button. Go up another step or two and step down onto the stand.

It sounds long and complicated but, having done it alot, I could do it in 10 minutes. I normally just take my time, maybe 20 minutes, as I figure me just walking in there has disturbed things enough so there is no hurry to get up the tree.
