anyone have ideas for hanging a cam on Public land? was thinking of taking the Climber and hanging it well out of reach and sight of human eyes... and using cheaper cams...

You could so that or I use screw in steps to get up and out or reach along with them still being locked to the tree.

That would probably be the only way I'd ever hang one on public land.

I hang them high like that on public land here. I use a ladder and get up a bit and aim the cam down.

Use a ladder since screw in steps are not legal here in WI.

I take lone wolf climbing stick with me, hang camera high pointing down.I use EZ-Aim™ Screw-in Camera Mount. works well.

had a guy get two cams stolen that he hung high on public land. but... them were a moultrie i60 that isnt the "easiest" to hide!.

but i agree, go high up. if you are strapping it to the tree, I would instead use zip ties (ideally if you can find some brown ones) and the zip tie I wouldnt think would stand out vs the 1 inch thick strap.
