Moving my mounts to another room, but there is not a stud(s) were I wanna hang them. Just drywall. What kind of anchors does everyone recommend ?

I've been reading good things about E-Z Anchors?

You could also stain a nice piece of lumber and nail to your wall across all the studs and then hang the deer mounts on that board. Surely your wife won't care, lol.

Those will work well. Gorilla hooks work really well also. They don't look like much… but they work and create not much more than a pin hole.

Something like these would work fine. They make them "rated" for all different weights. I would go "heavier" just to be on the safe side. IMHO.

I hate to go against the grain here but I have found these to be the weakest of all the drywall anchors, they pull out. For a deer mount it should be fine though. I like the regular ones that you make a hole in the drywall, shove it in, and it flares open when you put the screw into it. Just be sure to buy the big ones. On second look those do flare out so should be good, better than the

Ya I got one rated for 75 lbs... The buck I hung was a pretty big one. His neck was 28". Seems solid enough ...

Always wondered how they came up with the weight rating, it would have to have a lot to do with the thickness of the sheetrock. I know I ain't hanging 50 or 75 pounds from one of those!

If it was me..I would Not trust the mount to a drywall anchor no matter the specs. I would go solid to the wood or pick the "room or area" and put in a solid piece of wood behind the wall board. Then fix the drywall and hang the mount. To nice of a buck to chance a fall in my view and kids can be tough on a house. Elk would be a factor here also. Drywall repair and solid backing or Buck Down..twice, but now has a busted face or tine.
