Nice, RattleSnake. I've seen 4 or 5 so far this year, all in bow range. Problem is, they always take one step past the shooting lane or are on the neighbors property. My stand is only 10 yards off the property line.

There isn't a whole lot of story to tell about the deer. He came in chasing 2 doe. They were running around in circles behind me for about 20 minutes and then he was just standing back there. He was right square behind the tree I was in about 30 yards out so no shot at all there. He started walking to the northwest where one of the doe had been standing, and I was just hoping he'd stop where she had....luckily he did. I had already ranged the big oak he was standing by at 28 yds so I knew how far he was. I had drawn back when he went behind a maple on the way there in the event I needed to stop him. He stopped on his own and was sniffing around when his day got all jacked up. After arrow impact he bounded 3 times and then took a couple steps and stopped. He raised his right front as if to start walking and it stopped; he wobbled a little and tipped over. He went 23 yards after arrow impact; the Ramcats did a real number on him. Waiting for my score sheet but a little light on it for the team he scored 124 6/8.

    50 pts for team 28!!

Shot her on my property this evening. I Was setup down by pond when she and 2 other smaller does came in at the opposite end... They were completely calm and just munching away on acorns. I ranged her at 68 Yds and adjusted my sight and dropped the hammer on her. It was a good shot. A little farther back then I wanted but she only ran about 150yds along a high ridge. Used my hunting lab to track her. He did a great job. We lost blood at about 75 Yds and didn't pick it up blood till about another 25yds then we trailed her for another 50 to where she stopped and tumbled down the ridge and landed in the creek where my lab found her.[IMG][IMG]

Been scouting and trying to pick apart this section of the property. Hunted Friday and today from 10- dark because I have to walk in from fields. Seen one deer from the stand but deer are here. These bucks are recent visitors. Just need better temps and moon phases. Good luck team!
