These are a great little item to carry. I attached them to my riser and clip my sling to them. Works great. I carry an extra or 2 to attach stuff to my pack, stand, or tree.

I'm supposed to be working right now so I don't have time to post a link. But if you google gear ties by nite ize it will come up. They sell a bunch of sizes, but the 18" and 24" work great for sticks. It's basically an oversized rubber twist tie

I recently bought the XOP Vanish, which is basically similar to the LW Assault. I like that the XOP comes with more seat cushion and it flips over when you fold the seat up. I have gotten my sticks yet, but I'm leaning toward the XOP sticks as well. They set farther off the tree and lock/nest together. However, they're a hair heavier.

Third party stick craddles which fit either (plus some other stands as custom job): http://www.mobilehuntinggear.com

I really like the hawk helium sticks. They nest together well for carrying and after a few mods, they are just as easy to hang as the XOP or LW

Here's mine with stealth strips, versa buttons and webbing strap to add a step. Which doubles as a shoulder sling for easy carrying

I have a LW sit and climb, and the LW Assault hang-on with sticks. That covers everything. :tu:

Mainly the versa buttons that come on the LW or XOP stands make them a breeze to hang. Make some rope style straps, add stealth strips to make more quiet and webbing strapping to make a foot aider. There's a lot of good videos and tutorials out there of different mods on them

Thanks. I was familiar with the LW/XOP mods, but I was curious what guys were doing to bring the Hawk Heliums to their top level.

To also be petty (I'd argue less petty) the length of the muddy rope sticks I have are shorter then the LW sticks I have and thus your capacity to get higher is less.

So I ended up going with the xop sticks and stand. I am pretty impressed with the design and function of the stand. I am able to get a little over 20 feet in a tree which is about right for me. I put some bicycle tube pieces on the buckles to quite down the metal on metal sound and also put paracord on the platform to try and deaden some sound. Got a lineman's belt and ties two loops on either side of my harness so once I begin climbing the tree I do not have to go back to the ground again. Set up time is probably 10 minutes or less. I feel this will be much more versatile than a climber and finding that perfect tree so I am ready for season!
