I finally got him back from the taxidermist. Arrowed him on October 30th and got it in the shop on November 1st. I couldn't wait to hang him on the wall before I posted pics.

Does it usually take almost 4 months to get your mount back? This was the first one I had mounted. He turn out great, but my taxidermist told me he would be finished by Christmas. He missed that by a few months.

    Nice buck.

As far as the time frame, it could be a lot longer than that. My friend shot his deer on November 11, 2009, and he just now got the call that his deer was done. But his deer from this season, also shot November 11, 2010, is done now as well. Just depends on how busy your taxi is

I've had my taxi turn them around in about a month when they were needed for our outfitters booth, but i've had others take close to a year, and then some.

It all depends on the taxidermist and the quality of work you want. If I had someone tell me he or she would have my mount done in a month I would want to see examples of his or her work. Usually 4 months to a year depending on how many other mounts he or she has.
