Halloween Buck (pics added) I have always wanted to shoot a buck on Halloween and I did just that, It was not an easy task though…Mike and I had a plan going into the day and that was to sit all day! Well, after I got my brother in the stand, Mike and I made our way to our set-up. We were using are climbers, so it took us a while to get all situated. We were all ready to go right at shooting light. Right away we had a fox come right to us, but it didn't stick around too long. The rest of the morning and through the afternoon we had a bunch of hen turkeys keeping us entertained. At 5:25 Mike spotted our first deer of the day, it was a small buck cruising away from us. I hit the can and grunted at him a few times, but he was on a mission! Shortly after that Mike spotted another buck coming right to us and that little buck that we just saw was right behind him...The buck came cruising at 20 yards where I shot him, I thought it was a little far back and was a little concerned that I didn’t get a pass thru, but he went about 75 yards and piled up!! At one point of the day, Mike and I were talking about getting down and heading to a different location. I’m sure glad we stuck it out because it all paid off in the end! Also, around 2:00 Mike bet me a Chipotle burrito that we were going to get skunked!! This hunt will be aired on the Sportsman Channel in January, I will let you guys know!! [/IMG] [/IMG]
