    Hey everyone.

New to this forum and in my 2nd year hunting. I got a two pack of trail cameras this summer and put them out on a small parcel of private land I have permission on.

Does anyone find her a little rough looking? It's been a warm summer, I expected a much nicer coat on her than what she currently has

    thanks for your input!

I think its just the way her coat is laying. Maybe her is a little more whispy on her neck? Her body looks great!

Welcome to the forum! Her coat sure looks ugly, but it doesn't seem to be add. Their coats go through a lot of changes through the year

I think she is just older. That potbelly makes me think that mostly. And she seems to have a healthy fawn in tow so she should be good.

Looks like an old "smart" doe in good healthy condition.... The old smart one that knows to look up in the trees from September through November.

Thanks for the input everyone. In going through more photos she seems to have two fawns with her at all times. One is defiantly a little smaller than the other one. But both look pretty good to me.

I can understand the urge now to want to check cams frequently, it's a good thing they are an hour and a half away!

This property is a greenhouse, the land owners are completely fed up with how destructive the deer are and want nothing more than for me to harvest some deer this season. No real great trees to put a stand in so it will be out of a blind this year. Pretty excited for sept 1st to roll around this year!

Maybe shes wet. Looks like it may have been raining or she may have gone for a swim in that lake behind her.

I wouldn't worry about her coat. Unless you are thinking about a full body mounted doe...

Looks like her fur on her neck may be damp or laying down from lighting, wind, dew or some such.

That one patch on her shoulder may be intriguing to me but not worrisome.

She looks healthy and I'm sure would be delicious if prepared well.
