Had a trail cam stolen. Any ideas on how to catch dude?

    I dont live near area but have friends that live real close. Was only out 3 weeks before stolen.

    thought about setting up another broken old decoy cam in same area then have a cam set way up a tree focused on cam.

    Any other ideas?

    I think that's the best way^^. I think he will come back to the location looking for another before long

    Yep, looks like you have your solution. If you have a climbing stick or two, put it up about 10 feet and angle it down then take the sticks with you.

    You might also keep an eye on Craigslist to see if the thief tries to sell it. I heard of a case where they caught the thieves and got the camera back that way.

    Man that sucks! I feel your pain. I had 2 stolen last year and 1 destroyed. I hang all of mine 12 feet high now.
