I'm thinking so...lol. So I'm browsing Craigs list and find a 1998 GMC for $2100 with only 126k, red light goes off right there, but it's located in my area, so I send out an e-mail. I get a response as follows... "hello David , the car is located in Kissimmee FL , I posted the car to many city`s so I can find a buyer quick , if you are interested the process is very simple , with all this said i hope to hear soon from you ." So now the red light is starting to blink... but I reply again, still interested in more info... And the reply: "Hello again yes the final price is 2100$ , the shipping is already payed in full , you`l deal with my eBay agent if you are still interested please send me u`r full name and shipping address and my eBay agent will contact you with an invoice message and there you`ll have all the details regarding our transaction and here are some pic for u`r eyes http://s869.photobucket.com/albums/ab255/amandak76/. My regards." Yeh... ok. Alarm sounds with the blinking red light... look at this pickup! I know I could get a Carfax I'm not worried about the condition of the truck it's the Transaction. I hope it's a scam, otherwise I'm missing a Great deal :D So what do you guys think?
It doesn't have a back one either... lol, I mean it does but it's something like Z & V auto or something, I tried looking it up too. :D
Here's a layout of one of the many forms of car scams: http://www.cockeyed.com/citizen/accord/craigslist_fraud_outlined.shtml
There's not even a bracket on the front bumper where one would be mounted. I'm betting they hauled Jimmy Hoffa's body to Giant stadium in that very truck.
SCAM!!!!!! I would go along with it and waste their time. Just don't sign anything or give them any money. Tell them when they bring it over for you to test drive you will buy it if it's all they say it is. If they actually show up then you probably have a deal, but check to make sure it's not stolen first. I seriously doubt they would show up. Especially with out some money, signing something or getting some kind of personal information from you.
Thanks for posting that Christine, Like I would ever pay for a vehicle without seeing/driving it first... :p. Glad I have a little common sense in this world.... :D
Florida doesn't have a front plate.. Every car I have bought in Florida has a bracket however, how else would I mount my GATORS plate?
Check this out! Yesterday my roommate inquired about a "too good to be true bass boat" same deal as the truck!
