I shot a doe 730 am. She jump ran 10 yard and stop. I could see what looked to be guts hanging out she was really hunch over. So I pull another through her. This one was just low of the heart. Had to squat in my stand to shoot. The second. Well she ran off 50 yd. And bedded. I watched he button buck fawn. Circle her a couple times. Now it's 8 and I'm see her try and get up roll over and and crash around for 5 min. Plan to wait hr and then check my arrows. And see maybe wait longer to track. But will have to take the long way out . But she could only be 100 yds now.

At least a couple of hours. Maybe more if the temps are low.

Like others have said, give her time if it's cold enough. Don't wanna push her when you don't have to

That's the way to do it. Had you pushed her she may have run off and you lost the trail. Congratulation on getting it done.

Dude, watch what you say about those big cut mechanicals helping on a bad shot. Even though you are 100% correct, you will soon face the wrath of the fixed blade crowd, telling you how their Slick Tricks are better.

I wouldn't say that it was the broadhead that helped big time. You did the right thing and waited. No matter what broadhead you shoot you need to give the deer time on a shot like this. Good job on giving her time and recovering her.
