hey all, i've finally save up enough money (so i think) to get decent gun safe. i was just wondering if you guys and gals had any advice.. i've got 8 guns now, so i dont need a 72 gun safe... but maybe in the 18-24 range.

i'd like a decent warranty on it too..

any pointers on what i should look for? digital lock or combination?

    I'd look at 3 things,(1st) the fire rating,(2nd) the size,(3rd) service.
I've talked with safe dealers at different shows. Most if not all offer delivery and set-up. Some offer a life-time moving option. Nice if you're not planning on being in the same house forever.

Do a search for Gun safe reviews, read as many as possible. Doing your homework now will make you much happier later.

A combination lock is a stronger security measure than a digital and cheaper too. I got mine mostly for the fire protection. It's a Patriot Safe, not a Fort Knox by any means but then it didn't have a Fort Knox price tag on it either. For the money I paid it's a great safe and the company was great to deal with in getting it here and answering all my questions.
