After much deliberation, I made a big move and bought a new toy.

    Here she is!

My dad has a '73 CJ5 that he bought new. We rebuilt it in 2001 (new frame, new body, basically everything new but the engine and drive-train). So, I've had the bug lately to downsize and get an older CJ that I could work on myself.

I'm stoked with the Jeep I found. I'll replace the tub and fenders in a few years, but overall its in great shape.

Here's my "new" CJ7 next to dad's CJ5. (My wife and step-mom modeling of course!:) )

I got new plates today, same Whitetail plates I had on my truck (and on dad's Jeep).

Oh, yeah:rolleyes: anyone interested in a '98 GMC Sierra SLE with the 5.7LT V8 (350)??
She's for sale to fund my remodel:D

It has a 4" lift already, which is plenty for me. I'm actually going to down size the tires. It currently is rolling 35s, I'm thinking 32s maybe 33s. I'm going to swap to black wheels too.

First I'm going to make sure the motor is running fine. Then steering stabalizer & valve cover, then a new windshield, wiper motor, rear bumper w/ tire carrier, fold&tumble rear seat. .... Dash, tub, fenders, speakers, front bumper, diff covers, fender flares....:eek::eek:

    .... it begins:D
