Don't go selling the farm on me boys its only been 3 days since teams were delved out! Sorry for the delay I've been trout fishing the Driftless the last 3 full days and camping (reception is poor and thus posting on the Forum wasn't going to happen). I'm looking to get back in the winners circle this year having won in 12' and 13' (should have got it done in 14' too)! Last year was the first year in a while I didn't fill my buck tag. My standards continue to be on the rise and that mixed in with learning a couple new leases and the logging of our property posed some interesting twists. In years past I have hunted SE MN in addition to WI. I also could have drawn Iowa this year but am holding off until next year. I'll dedicate most of my time to Dunn County this year where I own a couple parcels and lease a couple more. I also have some public that I will hunt if having trouble locating bucks of maturity/higher scoring. Cameras have been out for quite a long soak and I plan to pull a couple of my cams this weekend to do 1 last inventory before our Sept. 16th opener. Plots, ponds, trails, and many new stands have gone up this season and I am hopeful of my chances. I look forward to sharing my season with everyone and wish everyone the best of luck throughout the season!

I like the following 3 names: Primal Instinct, Rack Attack, and Guardians of the Timber

Thanks also for being our leader Marauder!

Dunn County! Heck yea. Sounds like you've got a nice season lined up with all the property improvements. How did the Trout bite?

Trout bite was slow and great depending on the stream, stretch, and weather of the day. For more info on some habitat improvements, fishing updates, and hunting updates give my page on Facebook a like (Never Dunn Outdoors).

We got Marauder for Captain, we got a badass name, we got Dunn County (Mega Giant Killer), and we got a great group of guys all around. They might as well just send us the prize package and declare us the winners
You guys may have see this post. It's the two hitlisters that are frequenting a buddy of mines farm. I'm supposed to make at least one 4 day maybe another 3 day trip with him if we can get our schedules aligned. They are still seeing both bucks frequently so I hope these trips happen. If not I have a few other great places to hunt.

And last but not least @Dunn County. Let's add another one to this barn side this season bud. I just saw this article again and thought a little throwback pic was in order. Now that's quite the collection of bone! [IMG]

Wow, looks like I might be on a competitive team this year. I'll do my best to do my part, I will try and get some pic's next week from my last pull. Looks like I am going to have an excellent acorn crop on my property this year, hoping for good things.

I love the Bowhunting contest! I love getting to know everyone, seeing the trail cam/kill pics, talking smack to other teams, etc. But don't let the contest dictate what you shoot. It's supposed to be fun, so let's have some fun! :tu:

I agree 100% Marauder, the contest won't dictate what deer I shoot. My standards go up every year although after I shot my 143" a couple years ago it's hard to top that in my area.

I agree also. I'll let em walk and take pics before I let something influence my standards and goals. I hear all these guys saying they are good for a doe or whatever and I could prob %90 say I am too but I won't guarantee anything except a Good Time. I can't wait to be on stand with you guys!!!

I also agree. The most important thing is for you guys to have fun in the woods and not change what you'll shoot because of a contest. For me any deer above the 120" will have an arrow slung at him. Also pretty much any doe that walks in front of me will get it too.

I'm excited to get this season started. We have some very good bucks coming in on several properties. Plus all of our properties are loaded with doe. My only problem is I need to let the little bucks walk and wait on the bigger ones. ‍♂️ some years that's a problem for me lol
