Yeah, this actually wasn't just a big drunkfest. There were just a couple that actually got out of hand. Boys will be boys after all, we need to blow off a little steam now and then, and it was quite entertaining.:d

We did really have a great time at the event Saturday. Lots of neat bowshooting events going on at the Hunt Club. I have some pics of the festivities I'll add later when I get time. Still trying to catch up after being gone for the weekend.

This is extremely true, always good to get to the club and fling arrows. Lots of good conversation with good people!

I know.. I suck. Sorry I missed the events..... again.

Don't blame me... blame the day-job.

Good to meet all of you gents.. even the Missouri (Cardinal) fans. I won't hold it against you.

And... while BloodCrick did have some good paws on him.. they weren't HUGE like I was expecting... which leads me to believe we have WAY to many guys on this forum who's hands are like my wife's.

My hats off to Crick.. for having a real job.:d

    Rob:

It was split up differently than last year into several events with different winners.

The 3D course had a unique scoring system, 10's, 5's (for the normal 8 ring), and 0 (anywhere in the body). X's didn't count, only as a 10 ring. Mo_bowhnter shot a great score (only dropped one out of the 10) and took first place on the 3D course, with buckeye and I tied for second. They did a shoot off for Buckeye and I in front of the entire crowd by shooting at a 1" or so sticker they put on a 3D target at around 34ish yards. Both buckeye and I hit about an 1" or so hot, with mine being about a half shaft closer to the dot. That one could have gone either way, but I ended up in second.

There was a 5 way (I think) shoot off for the long distance event. This was a rhinehart 18-1 target at 65 yards. I don't remember who all made it into this, but it was me, Dubbya, Richie Music, and two others (sorry I forgot you other 2). It was a tough shot, because with pins sight, most of us weren't able to actually see the target, I was covering the entire cube with my bubble and hoping for the best. We also had a pretty good crosswind as well which didn't help anything. Dubbya actually dotted it on his first shot and ended up eliminating the rest of us to win himself a new Rhinehart 18-1 target.

There was also a 5 way shoot off for the clay pigeon shoot, which had me, and 4 others I don't remember off the top of my head involved. They ended up having the 5 of us shooting at an exploding target that had roughly a half inch bullseye that you had to hit to blow it up. We each got 4 shots per end, and if no one hit it that first end we took 5 paces closer and repeated. First to put it in the middle won. The targets were no good though, and wouldn't burn up. Several of us broke the line on the target, but I was the first to put an arrow in the middle inside out (not touching the line) and won myself $100 and a new Octane Quiver.

Justin had the whole thing filmed, so I'm sure we will see more pics and video shortly. Thanks to the guys that worked to put this event together. Despite the hot temps (90+ degrees) it was a really great time. I'm definitely hoping to make it next year!

Hera are a few pics I took of the 3D shoot. They had some interesting situations to shoot from.
