Looking to order new custom arrows.

How much of a difference does the Straightness Tollerence make for the arrow?

Is it worth the $15 upgrade between the GT Expedition Hunters and the GT XT Hunters?

    Also,

Looking at camo arrows with blazer vanes and crest

    What do you think?

Orange or white crest and what color vanes?
    Solid or zebra?

    Thanks

I would look for a tight spine tolerance first, it is most important, and straightness second. I will pay more, more than $15, to get good spine and straightness tolerances.

It depends on what you plan to do with them. If you only intend to shoot deer with them at 20 yards or less the cheaper arrows will do you just fine. If you're really particular and you like to hit little tiny dots (or squirrels) at 50 yards every shot you better plan on dumping some $$$ on good quality arrows.

I would put solid colors on mine if I could do it over, and when I re-fletch next time I will. The zebra and tiger stripes cut down on the visibility making it dificult to see where the arrow hit. I put on white tiger wraps and white tiger blazers with the odd fletchings being black. I thought they would be pretty visible but they aren't. If one digs into the grass they can be very difficult to find.

I switched from Exedition hunters to XT's last year, never looked back. They both are great arrows, but for $15 it's more than worth it, even if it's just the self confidence in knowing you bought a better arrow.

I would crest/wrap in white, and fletch in solid white also, easier to see, and you can really inspect the blood when they do their job.

And if you want to offset that $15 extra, just get black shafts, I personally like the look of black vs camo on my arrows.

Okay, anyone know any good websites to custom make arrows? Or anyone that could do it for me?

I honestly can't decide whether to do camo or not. But I know I want to do white crested Gold Tip XT with either all white vanes or maybe white and orange vanes (either 2 orange/1 white or 1 orange/2 white) Now I found a couple websites to look at, I can't decide on camo or not. What do you think?

    http://www.bowproshop.com/custommadearrows.html < Black arrows

    http://www.custom-arrows.com/gold-tip-xt-hunter-camo-half-dozen.html < Camo arrows

I had also checked ebay. Still looking.

But if you know if I can find camo arrows with white crest let me know. I'm sure there's someone out there or a website. There are tons of people on TV shows with them.

Would Gander Mountain be able to do it?

    Thank's guys.
