I didn't make it out this morning for my first sit of the year. However, I did try my hat at stocking. I looked up and their they were 25 yards away 3 bucks 2 of which were shooters. They were rubbing trees and pushing each other. I made the mistake of grunting and thenaftrr a few minutes I took a couple of steps and some of the deer took off. Not really fast but they did run. The biggest buck was still in the field along with another deer. Hopefully, I didn't just destroy my chances at this location. I don't think they saw me but instead saw movement. What a first day. Isis pull back on the big 12 but didn't feel comfortable with all the under growth between us. I'm sure it would have been a clean shot, but when in doubt pull out right?. Or at least that's what my dad used to tell me. Not sure he was talking about deer hunting though.
