I shoot from both.....prefer the ladder stand. But there is one section that has too much cover to use a stand, great spot for blind. Have killed several deer from both.

Really need both. Because of Grizzly and Puma in my area I definitely prefer to hunt from a tree stand but there are just too many circumstances where there are no suitable trees.

Due to age and bad knees and bad back... I've been reduced to hunting from the ground for a couple of years. BTW: I killed a lot of deer from Chain on Stands swamp hunting, but I still see deer from the ground. You do what you got to do. Enjoy.

Both and both have advantage and disadvantage. Tree stand is ladder only. No more sticks. To old. Can see further from the tree, but the deer can see you further too if you not high enough. Lot of times that is hard to do because of trees, terrain, etc. Ground blind with full enclosure so they don't see your slightest movements a must. The deer can get on you before you know it. Also a good chance of being blindsided.

I hunt from both but prefer tree stands hands down. You always get better blood trails from tree stand shots and as a result faster recoverys.
