Does anyone here have any pointers for ground blind use? How long do I need to set it up before hunting from it? Do I need to try to conceal it with local vegetation? I have just started using one and it seems to bother the deer that are coming around it.

i know my buddy set one of ours up last year...about midday..12ish..and hunted , shot a doe out of it that night....

I guess you could give it a day before, or actually do it midday if you dont bump anything out of the area...if you do im sure they would be back....

I have seen several deer from mine but it always seems like they are unusually nervous every time. I always try to put them in the brush or under some trees but always feel like I stick out.

I set one up this year for the first time. I did it in early October, and hunted it about 2 weeks later. I haven't seen one out of it yet, but the trail cam pics show that the deer are still moving through there.

I did do a good job of putting it in a brush line, and cutting a lot of brush and tying it to help conceal it.
