Thinking about using a ground blind this year. Any comments on what is a good blind to buy for a bow, and how would you set one up in the field. Also how soon would you set it out in the field? THANK YOU

I like a big blind for bowhunting....I have a long draw and I don't want any part of my setup sticking out...I really like the Primos Vision blind. Setting it up in a field though would be tough. If it was a hay field you could make it cover it in hay but it definitely is not going to look like a hay bale lol.... You could always buy one of those hay bale blinds. You can also get away with it if there is some standing corn but cut corn or a bean field is not the ideal place. If I am going to hunt a field I definitely look for hedgerows, ditches, or edges of the woods to set up on. It is all about cover....I like to have my blinds up at least a month or so before the season so the deer feel comfortable around it. If you have got good cover and you are good at brushing one in then you can get away with hunting it withing a day or so. I don't like to do that but I have. The deer either way will notice a change but they will be less likely to be alarmed if it is brushed in good...Hope this helps and good luck!!

I like a big blind also. I use a Baronett grounder blind and love it. They are roomy and very durable. I have tried other blinds in the past like Ameristep but they weren't built near as well as Baronett's are. As far as setting one up, I usually put it on the edge of a field so that it's somewhat concealed.
