I have zero experience and knowledge of ground blinds but want to get one so that I can use it when I take my daughter hunting deer and turkeys. I will be bowhunting out of it, of course, so it would need to accomodate a bowhunter and a half :d .

Any info on the pros and cons of various blinds and any help and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Bruce, alot depends on the money you are willing to put into a blind. Double Bull's use the best materials and are higher quality than other blinds, but you are going to pay for it. If you are looking for a blind that will be used alot, I would look towards the DB's. Ameristep makes some nice blinds, I really liked my Brickhouse TSC. It was very spacious and was pretty well built. I currently use a Ground Max and it is nice, especially for the money, but it does have its draw backs. The entrance zipper is at the corner of the blind which can make it a little noisy getting in and the windows sit a little higher than I like.

Your best bet is to check out some blinds on the next, look at their dimensions, and if you can, hit up a Bass Pro or Cabelas to see them in person to choose the one that you want.

I am interested in the responses here as well, being my blind is "not bowhunter friendly".

Although it is not a "money is no object" kind of thing I prefer to spend on quality and don't mind paying for it up front. It usually pays for itself in the long run. I appreciate the replys and was leaning towards the DB's so I will lean more in that direction.
Thanks for the heads up on the recurve version. That may become the front runner.

Found an awesome price on the DB Dark Horse. That seems to be the replacement for the Matrix unless I am mistaken.

How do you guys get your blind to where you are going? This same guy sells a pack that carries the blind and other stuff. I will be going a mile + in some spots. Are they difficult to carry? Would this pack be worthwhile?

Thanks again for your help with this.
