Check out my latest test of this huge cutting mech. I hope it's helpful. Does anyone have any hunting experience with it?
As you know, I’ve been looking forward to seeing this review John. Having shot 1 3/4” Grin Reapers before I expected it to fail on the MDF test. Well, mostly. Back when I shot them I tested the 1 3/4” grim reapers on 3/4” oak veneer plywood. It didn’t end well. Since I’m already “loaded up” with them for this season I’m going to give them a go and do my best not to hit a front shoulder. Also, here’s hoping the deer I shoot don’t have sheets of MDF or cinder blocks in their chests. Thanks for this review and all of the other reviews that you do. I appreciate it.
I used them for two seasons before switching back to fixed broadheads. Nothing against them but at the time I was anticipating hunting out west where mechanical broadheads are not allowed. The Whitetail specials do make a highway of blood with a well placed shot. Never had one go more than 40 or 50 yards before piling up. They flew well for me out of my PSE X-Force.
