I have a Weber gas grill that I have had for 11 years now. I just did the annual scrape out and clean up job. Thing works as good as when I first bought it. Almost didnt want to buy it because of the price but got sick of replacing the cheaper ones every couple of years. Now I am glad I bought it.
Webber charcoal grill. Love cooking over hot coals. Just keep them clean and out of the weather and they will last a long time.
Just bought a stainless grill from Walmart today, It's not the best in the world, but for my first full size grill I'm happy.
I have one of everything. A very large gas with side burner then my Oklahoma Joe that serves as both a smoker and a charcoal grill. They all have their purpose.
My charcoal Weber is my favorite but I have several different ones. Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
Smoke Hollow gas/charcoal/smoker/sear burner. I love adding a slight smoke taste to just about anything so I find myself using the Charcoal side of the grill a lot. I put a couple coals into the smoker box, set some wood chips on there and draft it right so it pulls the smoke from the smoker box into the charcoal section of the grill. Burgers, brats/dogs, fish, chicken, venison steaks, goose steaks etc. If its meat/fish smoke makes it better!
I have both a Weber gas and charcoal and I use whichever I want depending on my mood and how much time I have on that particular day.
Sorry to say I'm between grills right now!! Our old was a Char-Broil that we got 12+ years out of before the burners caved in. That's the one we've been thinking of, sounds like you like it a lot?!
I am using the big red kamado grill (cheap green egg nock off) http://www.menards.com/main/mobile/...rs/big-red-kamado-grill/p-1509794-c-10141.htm I will never use a standard charcoal/gas grill again. Even well done steaks are juicy and tender. sent from my samsung note 2
Yeah I love it! The Chrome caps will fade really fast, and the deal that holds up your propane tank is a little iffy. Spray paint a small chunk of a 2X4 black and set it underneath the propane tank and that will take care of that flimsy piece.. Also there is no propane gauge. Make sure you always have some charcoal or an extra propane tank sitting around. Other then those two things, you get a lot of grill for your money thats for sure. The Sear burner has come in really handy as well. I had the power go out last summer just before I was going to steam up some crab legs.. Sure you can put the pot over coals or propane burners, but the sear burner made steaming the crab legs quick and easy.
So you think they are that much better huh? I've been thinking of picking one up but still on the fence between that and a regular grill.
Weber. I got it from my FIL when he bought a newer one with 4 burners, so I inherited the 2 burner model. It's 10-12 years old now, and with a good powerwash, still looks and works as good as new. Best part about Weber, is that they seem to always still have parts for their grills. I replaced a few parts in mine a couple years back, and they had everything available. New parts just drop right in, it never has warped one bit over the years. We cook 2-3 times a week, year round.
Absolutely. My wife was very skeptical and she is the one that wants the steak well done. I talked her into it and she actually told me later she was glad we went with it isntead of a regular grill. She NEVER admits things like that.:D sent from my samsung note 2
We've been cooking over the camp fire for a few years now. Love the taste. We use oak, hickory maple and cherry.
