Another thing to think about. Rice and Hardy have through their actions done more to advance the battle against domestic violence than just about anything I can think of. Having Hardy on the football field gives the media a chance to bring up what he did and keep the issue in the minds of hundreds of millions of viewers each and every week. I he wasn't playing, he would disappear and the issue would lose ground.

It's one thing if the court found you not guilty, it's a completely different thing when you reach a "settlement" (bribe) and the witness doesn't show up for the trial.

The fact is he should've been in prison but he bought his way out with money earned from the NFL.

Makes you wonder about this woman. If money is that important to her, she could have had won a civil suit and been set for life. But she choose the quick route and let him walk.

the unjust/prejudicial treatment of diff categories of people is discrimination.

Might just be me, but I don't think he is meaning Racial discrimination. I think he means Football Players, or Professional Athletes in general.

Didn't say I think he is being discriminated against. But I do believe he thinks he is. And not racism. But because He is a football player. He and many athletes think they get treated different because they are Wealthy, and because they are in the public eye.

It's difficult to say something without sounding like you support the guy. As a fan of the team, I do not support him and never wanted him on the team.

Having said that, the media wants this to continue. They claim to hate the guy but talk about it 24/7. Along with talk shows, tv stations have at least 10 camera shots of him during the game. All they're doing is feeding his and Jerry's ego.

Wow, brilliant. We should put Bill Cosby in charge of the Girl Scouts organization to make him the champion for predatory sexual abuse. Just think about how he could help advance the cause.

    Oh my.

Nothing we can do will change what they have done. But what they have done can be used to try and prevent the same from happening in the future. Getting pissed when we hear about something than forgetting about it until it happens again doesn't help anything.

To me you can not even talk about Ray Rice and Greg Hardy at the same time unless you are talking about two different ways to handle the situation. What they both did was dispicable but Hardy still acts like it was a joke while Ray Rice owned it from the start. He apologized and seamed very sincere went to counseling talked about it to try and bring awareness to the situation while Hardy pays off the woman so he doesn't get convicted and says innocent until proven guilty and claims racism. Hardy is the biggest POS in all of football and really there is no way to defend...well except if you are a bleeding heart liberal I guess you could. I forgot it is are fault he acts that way.
