That is assuming they don't pickup somebody with the 33rd pick. They could grab somebody like DT Malik McDowell to help Mike Daniels with the interior pass rush which would by default help our Secondary. Or maybe Kevin King a 6-3" CB with a 39" vertical jump to help with those tall WR. I'm glad they didn't go with the crowd favorite of TJ Watt, I think if his name was different, He probably would have been projected later. Odd of him becoming anything close to JJ are not good. Also hope they don't listen to some of the talking heads and get a RB. For the amount of attention the Packers give the run a 4th rounder will help just as much as wasting an early pick on one.
There's always next year boys! Doesn't matter anyways, because the Patriots are going 19-0 this season, this season marks the 10 year anniversary of the 18 in one season. Mark my words, quote me now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Don't tell me how to feel. Ted was a cheap skate on the deal second round draft picks don't get the signing bonus first round picks do, Ted acts like every penny spent on salaries comes out of his pocket.
First rounders have a 5th year option so if money was the issue it would be cheaper to be able to pay rookie salary forn5 years rather than 4. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
If the players are worth keeping TT extends them before the option year, and I sure don't want to see more players drafted to develop, the window is closing.
What I was saying is that if being cheap was a driving factor he would have drafted in the first so he could pay them rookie wages for 5 years. If being cheap was the idea he wouldnt get so many draft picks because undrafted is cheaper. Why draft a guy in the first if he can get the same guy 4 picks later and also save money. You don't know if the other teams are going to draft the player you want, and if ted does what he says he does he picks the best player available. The move was frustrating at the time but upon further review it looks like D was the priority.
No I don't know. But am fairly confident that if there is a player he wants he will pick them. If there are multiple players he vAlues equally and he can drop back get more picks and still get one of them why not do so. Nobody picked on those 4 positions was somebody I am going to think. Darn we really missed out. And the guys picked if they turn out would really fit what the team needed. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'm a little surprised he didn't trade the 33. It's a coveted pick - worth much more than the 32. I bet he had plenty of offers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jay this is a discussion about legit NFL teams not the vikings you may want to just read rather than post.
Kid I coached/taught signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Pack...im pumped. Hope he makes it.
We had 2 local kids get signed. One from Ashland college (TE to the bears) and a kid from Medina High School. I didnt know either of them. I did go to school with Kyle Juszczyk who was drafted by the Ravens and just signed the biggest contract for a FB in NFL history (49ers) this year though. Was always humble, i always wish him the best.
