It pertained to teammates attitude when they heard of the possibility of Brett returning to the team, also why the players and fans were ready to see Brett move on.
Ted Thomson was not at the east/west shrine game for the first time in the time he has been with the Packers, not sure why the Packers are delaying the announcement.
I thought for sure it wasn't going to happen with it not already being announced....but when I heard he wasn't there and no illness or family issue is known....this is perhaps a big changing of the guards in GB. Curious if Elliot will keep Mike as HC
I do not think Mike will be fired, I like to think that there will be a more aggressive approach in player personnel and Mike will get a chance to prove he can get to the next level. If I were the GM I would tell Mike that Dom is Ted's new golf partner so find a new D coordinator.
Tom I would be willing to give Mike another season with an option on year two, with the understanding Dom is gone. The D has hamstrung the Packers for the last 6 years.
No Tom you were right fire McCarthy. He will have a new O coordinator but he sees no reason to make any other changes to his coaching staff. If he does not see Dom as a problem that is holding the team back he needs to go as well. I am PISSED.
To me he is like other coaches in the past that win a lot of games because of the players on the team will win not because of their coach but in spite of their coach. Pat's himself on the back too much too. I think this also proves that Brad is wrong that I don't hate the Packers. If I did I would never want them to fire him
McCarthy said the Packers had a successful season. If the Patriots don't win the Super Bowl does anyone think Bill Is going to say the same thing?
You are so right on your viewpoint. Dom needed to go years ago, and Mike needs to now. He passed off play calling, then took it back. Sure sign he didn't know what he was doing OR how to fix it. It is also GLARING that the team wins off Rodgers' back. The wins come off plays Rodgers calls or improvises, not on the plays called by Mike. The coaching is like chaining a cinder bock around Aaron's neck. Great coaches win off their game plan, not the future HOF quarterback slinging incredible sideline throws or Hail Mary's.
And then the Packers going to the Super Bowl... In Minnesota... Winning it... And then Aaron Rodgers carrying AP on his shoulders in celebration.
Vikings will not win the Super Bowl this year. See if I'm wrong about that one!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
