There appears to be a little animosity between Martellus Bennett and the Packers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Crazy to think that the Bears were favored by 6 in the game today haha. HUGE division win for the Pack today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Expecting a few to re-work is one thing...but all of them, highly doubtful. I also don't think AR will be one willing to given everything. I don't think Ha-Ha has regressed like some of you...he may not be taking steps forward but dude was a straight open field tackling beast against the Bears, and I for one enjoyed seeing that edge back in him. Still young with immense promise. He does play better when Burnett is healthy...which I know has been rough. I also don't see the TE as terrible as many, but do think definitely room for progress despite being tough to have solid WR and TE corps. I would love to see a top (3rd or earlier) spent on TE though for an athletic seam stretcher though. Kendricks I like and hope he sticks around, RR is solid #2/#3 we just need a bonafide #1 offensive TE for passing downs. OL has imploded impart due to the influx present every week. Spriggs needs to clear and get back out there so we know truly what he is going to become...but sadly this year could make any one look rough. ----------------------------------------- Hundley played impressively better this week. In adverse weather conditions to boot. Not lighting the world up anytime soon for sure, but some of his plays really shows promise. The scramble right, point direct and backshoulder TD to Adams truly was AR-esq and I guarantee you that happened due to his years of watching AR do it. I still have zero aspirations or expectations any longer this season but was fun to see that growth.
Ty Brett did not throw a pass longer than 12 yards till the 4th quarter, sure they won but they beat the bears.
Yup, I know. I didn't say he is a surefirer starter or is amazing. I said he is progressing, which to say otherwise is a lie if one were to say such a thing. He is progressing and that one play I referenced was a sign of just that....that was not a gimme and was a tight window with next to little room for error.
Looking at the status of their contracts, it only makes sense. Rodgers has two years remaining, with no hit for previous signing bonus, Clay one year remaining also with no Signing bonus hit. They will convert what they were supposed to get as base salary into Signing bonuses and spread that across the length of the extensions, probably 3 for Rodgers 2 for clay. Same thing basically for Cobb and Jordy 2 year extension each. I figure they would save 25-28 million in cap room, while giving each of them guaranteed money, 40 or so for Rodgers, 11 or so For Clay, around 9 each for cobb and Jordy.
If Ted were sane I would tell Mike that there are no longer any sacred cows on the coaching staff and that Mike will have to fire as directed and that starts with Dom. The 3 -4 scheme kind of limits the replacement coach pool but I would be making some calls now. I just about had a grand mal meltdown yesterday when in a short span Missing Crosby clanked an upright, then after taking a delay of game penalty Mike calls a time out, what in the actual hell is that?
Actually I know this isn't true. He had a 14 yarder to Nelson in the second quarter. It may have been the only one...also that Cobb cutting one was around it as well and is in the books as much more for YAC.
I think they have to pay Devonte Adams before they pay either Cobb or Jordy. Adams is the youngest and has the highest upside right now. Jordy said before the season started he only plans on playing a couple more years. And am I the only one that doesnt care if we dont resign Clay? Get rid of Capers like Ive been saying for the last 3 years and have crazy uncle Ted move into the asylum and hand the reigns over to Eliot Wolf before he goes somewhere else and we lose him.
20million extra cap space would make signing Adams a lot easier. If they cut with Bulaga also that would be over 30 million in additional cap space. Adams, As well as Linsley, burnett if they want to bring either or both back. I also think they will do something with HaHa.. Matthews has been overpaid, never liked the contract they gave him from the get go. Definitely not worth 11.5 next year. but I would keep him for 4 or 5 million.
Perry has made Clay a non-needed asset at his price IMO. Linsley is going no where. When they let Tretter walk they committed to Linsley for the future and he's proven very capable.
Seems like he not only passed a physical in NE but also played in the game on Sunday, who was F'ing who? Every check he got from the Packers was a gift because brick hands was not earning it.
Bennett really let me down. I was expecting great things from him, and early reports were great. But once the season started he simply wasn’t there. As far as Cobb/Nelson/Adams...my comment was directed at the fact we have 2 of the top 20 highest paid WRs and if we resign Adams it will become 3. That’s a lot of money for guys who arnt playing well without Rodgers. Who makes who look better? Obviously I love all 3 and want to keep all 3, but Jordy doesn’t have any wheels left and Randall (although he never drops the ball) disappears from time to time and doesn’t make as man explosive plays as he used too and is expected too as a receiver in his prime. Matthews is gone. We’re not paying him 11 million when Perry is world better and making less. House was a fail. We need another corner to pair with King. HaHa is FS who filled the SS role nicely with Burnett out but needs to make more splash plays. He needs to be Ed Reed for us. Losing Jones sucks, as well as Ty getting hurt again, but Williams stepped up and ran hard. The RB position actually looks pretty good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I agree tough pill to swallow having 3 top paid WRs...but you cannot let Adams walk. I'd make case he is our best WR right now. I never liked the Cobb re-signing as we over paid but whatever gotta let the contract ride out or trade or cut IMO.
