So you are saying the Chicago Bears are the 2nd best franchise ever and the Cleveland Browns are the 4th best ever? Nobody will believe you, but you are making a lot of Browns & Bears fans happy. Lol.
I do respect the Packers true rival the Bears, a legitimate NFL franchise. NFL teams are not legitimate until they win a Super Bowl. The Browns are an expansion franchise thanks to Art so the storied history moved to Baltimore.
I have no problem with you saying this at all. My point was plenty of fans and I am not saying you have used the championships before the Super Bowl as the reason they are the greatest team ever. Then turn around and try to say the number of Super Bowl wins doesn't matter for Rogers to be the greatest QB ever. You have to see the hypocrisy there.
Tom Brady is top 5 in basically all passing statistics with 4 super bowl mvps and 5 rings... How can his career be blemished???? This shouldn't be a discussion. Rodgers is not on Brady's level if we are talking GOAT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I over reacted to the Cook injury. I'm done with the Vikings thread and done biting on the weekly "bash the Vikings" comments. I'll still discuss the other related football posts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You have to cut Jake some slack, he is stuck in that awkward phase that viking fans go thru every season. The time when they realize that the vikings peaked in training camp and the first game and they realize that the rest of the season is just going thru the motions because there is zero chance of post season glory. It leads them to lash out at fans of legitimate franchise with loyal fans.
I, for one, have never been involved in a greatest franchise debate on here. For 2, Brady has the best resume on paper no doubt, but like I said...he’s had the #1 defense for most if not all of his Super Bowls. Rodgers has had a top 10 defense once. Your “money back” argument is weak considering Rodgers isnt near the top in salary. And when I say goat, I’m talking about what a player can do. Rodgers has the greatest mixture of ability and skillet we’ve ever seen. Even the experts will flat out say it. Rodgers also has the most game winning passes over the last 4 seasons. He’s lost 3 playoff games without even touching the ball AFTER he led a drive to score and tie it in the final seconds. The one playoff game he lost in OT where he actually touched the ball was his 2nd year starting. And his helmet was almost ripped off on the play on a non call face mask. Brady has had the rules changed in the NFL because of him in the same situations ie tuck rule. Not to mention Brady has been suspended for cheating and his entire team was fined for cheating a second time. Rodgers doesn’t have the career numbers that Brady does but his current projections actually show him surpassing all of Brady’s. MJ wasn’t the all time leader in any category in 1993 but he was still considered the best. Just give it time, when Rodgers retires 7-8 years from now it won’t even be an argument. Coming from a Packer Fan. Rodgers has the most complete package today. But I wouldn't put him at the very top of the list. Marino under the rules of today would be throwing for 7000 yards a season. Elway and Favre both early in their careers extended the plays and made plays out of nothing like Rodgers does today. Then guys like Fouts and Stabler under todays rules would also be unbelievable. Most game winning passes? What is the definition of a game winning pass. If a team scores 7 points on a TD pass on the first possession that would be a game winning pass wouldn't it? I've listened to all the come from behind talk that has been going on over Rodgers career. It was often dealing with Eli. Eli has 30 come from behind wins, Rodgers has 12, does that make Eli more "clutch". Not IMO when you look at the stats deeper. Eli has 108 wins 30 of them were come from behind 27%, Rodgers has 94 wins 12 come from behind or 12%. What that tells me, is Eli's teams are more consistently behind in games they should win. Rodgers has the Packers in the lead in the games they should win. I'm just happy being able to watch them all.
My giving money back argument is weak??? Do you look up any info before you type? He signed a 5 year 110 million dollar contract. He was the highest paid player in football.
IMO, a GOAT is a QB that can take a mediocre team and make them competitive. Favre did it 3 times with GB, NYJ and MN. NYJ was probably his best audition as a GOAT Manning did it with the only 2 teams he played for, Colts and Broncos. Won a ring with both. Won his laet with very little time in their system and coming off potentially career ending surgery. Brady has only played within one system with a history of cheating, but it has been a system that works for QB's. Bledsoe, Brady, Cassil etc.. none of whom amounted to much for another team or system. Bellichick built Brady, by hook or crook. I doubt Brady could go to a lesser team and bring them to the forefront. Brady will never play for another team, so we will never know what he was capable of on his own.
At the time. His reign as highest paid was short lived. And we have cap space leftover that Ted doesn’t use anyways so I don’t know the point your trying to make? It’s not like we are strapped for cash... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Since 2014 he leads the league in passes that won a game. Can’t ask for more clutch than that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
