I got to sneak away for the day yesterday and go for a 125 mile ride with my dad and a couple guys from town. It was a blast, even though the trails are in rough shape up here (we've missed out on most of the snow here). Got to 41 degrees. Some of the warmest riding I've done for sure. Here are some pics, including one with me and my new best friend:D
Rumor had it the stupid thing is originally from Wisconsin........:D Looks like a good time, never considered a snowmobile as we've never had much snow, but this year has been a doozy!!! I still have 12 or so inches in the yard, and we set a NEW RECORD for February snowfall this year.
It's a Gray Jay (Canada Jay) but they are called Camp Robbers up here. They are not bashful. We were at a rest stop, and he flew to a branch above us. I put a peanut on my hand and 3 seconds later, he was my buddy. People that canoe up into the BWCAW have them fly into camp all the time. They are like huge chickadees.
Here's another picture... later I pointer out my finger like I was shooting a gun, and he perched in my finger.
Looks like a great time1 I saw those birds in New Found Land, I thought I was back in prehistoric time...... like they never saw humans before.
