Hey everyone its the time of year we have ben waiting for as we start to climb into the rut in many places. My buddy just put down a 140inch 8 hot on a doe so its started. Now that he is tagged out I got a camera man! Going to hunt hard this weekend and see if we cant put a big boy down on video for all of you. Trip from Virginia to New York starts in about 14 hours. We are scheduled to get in there kind of late but will see you bright and early after we get some coffee up in the tree. Ill keep you guys posted through out the day and hopefully we get so whacks at some of our hit list bucks. I know we didn't give a list out because I have ben busy with my service obligations for the past year and a half but we deff. do have some beauties one in particular is a buck We named rocky hes about a 4 1/2 year old we have seen the past two years and this is where he got his name cuz every time we saw him he was picking a fight with another deer but I think this is the year we try and take him out if we get to go out to that property hopefully we seal the deal this weekend and the public land were hunting in central New York to prove it is possible!!!! What town in CNY are you hunting near? I live and hunt in CNY and bucks are definitely getting more active in daylight.
Martin, I'm a newbie to bowhunting, but they are definitely in rut. I'm in sauk county and after three weeks of seeing nothing, I am seeing a couple chasers. My son and I are going all weekend. Hearing a lot of good news from the fellow hunters. Should be a great couple of weeks.
