Deer were moving today. I missed a doe about 730 but there wasn't really anything I could do about it. Another deer ran at her about the time I released my arrow. She jumped I missed. Oh well out of my control. After this the action started. All told I saw about 50 deer today. Some I'm sure were the same ones with multiple siting. The most I saw at one time was 15.

Also, saw just about every animal that graces my hunting woods with its presence. Coyote, turkey, squirrels, ground squirrels, raccoon, possum, and about all kinds of birds. Only thing missing was a bobcat. I had dropped my flashlight right when I got in my stand but I just left it on the ground. As the raccoon approached he smelled it and about flipped over backwards trying to get away. Really funny to see.

End of the morning turned bad when I went to check my dads cam that he just bought last month. Turns out there is a pit bull mix running around that likes cameras as chew toys. We saw this dog running deer last year and now that it has damaged our $200 camera it is time for it to die. Luckily the camera still takes good pictures but it did puncture the cover that goes over the motion sensor. We haven't had any rain so no moisture got inside of it. Going to call Bushnell monday and see if they have any ideas for repair. Dog season is open and I believe I just found a good excuse to go get a hand gun of some sort.

I never go out without mine! Luckily, in VA with a CCW permit, it's allowed just about everywhere.

    S&W M&P .40 with Cor-Bon Pow'rball hollow points. I carry a Beretta 9mm on duty.
