Woke up yesterday at 3:00 left house with brother for a day hunting on neighbors lease. Sat in stand for about three and a half hours in morning. Only thing saw was a red hog, no shot. Back in camp Brother and friend are just getting back from making bait holes for hogs. First thing out of there mouth is, Did I see my brothers bow? Turns out while setting he wanted to see if he could draw because he just changed the weight on it . While checking he accidently dry fired needless to say cam bent string frayed. Since I rode with him I asked if he wanted to leave he said no reason to ruin my hunt, since he knows I can only get out for a few times a year. Fortunately our friend had a crossbow he could use for afternoon. That afternoon as light was leaving saw four does start to come in to range. Was able to get bow stand with out getting busted as I was getting ready to draw does bolted waited a couple of minute did not come back. About five minutes later see a deer coming in could not tell if it was buck or doe. Right as it was fixing to step out got spooked and ran off. Less then a minute later brother comes up to stand, now I know what spooked him. On way back to camp find out he was one that might have spooked does. With all that went on still had a great hunt. I am sure that there are people in hunting world that would say this was a bad hunt they would be so wrong. Got to spend the day in the woods, with my brother and good friend. Got to watch the world wake up and go to bed from twenty feet up. Shared stories with friends. Just thought I would ask if ya'll thought that would be as good a hunt for you as it was for us.
I know very few people who would call that a bad hunt. Thanks for sharing the story. Sounds like my typical hunt
You got to separate from buisy society and spent quality time with family and saw game so in my opinion a good hunt Bowhunt Madness
