Got the land on Friday, scouted all Saturday and put out some cameras. Today, I checked the cameras (Iknow, it wasn't even a whole day!) then set up my first stand and hunted it.

I had a 3 1/2, 8 pointer and a fork come in to about 12 yards. The 8 scored about 126. Pretty tempting but I'm glad I passed after seeing the cam pics. The 8 that I saw may be the smaller one in the pic.

    I can't wait for tomorrow!

Congrats Greg on the new land. R U still in the same area as before? I'm sure we'll be seeing a pic of a bruiser down soon.

Thats great news. Just think about the potential bucks you may have that haven't shown their faces yet. Good luck!

Arrowing a big one is pretty hard to do................ especially if you leave your hunting jacket with release on the sofa at home, like I did this morning!!!:mad::mad::(

Oh well, I'm getting my laundry done before tonights hunt.

    Thanks for the comments.

I bet the 1st buck you take off your own land is going to rank up there as being VERY special, regardless of what it scores.
    Good luck.

That's great to hear. Sounds like you have a great piece of ground there to call your own. That has to be a great feeling.
