Graveyard tour. Go to Confucius' tomb -- occupied. Buddha's tomb -- occupied. Mohammed's tomb -- occupied. You know why they're all there...because they're dead, that's where they belong. Now, go to Jesus' tomb...."why do you look for the living among the dead?"

Blessings to all and Happy Easter.....Pastorjim

    Exactly.

Shall I mock Jesus for being a zombie?

I would say that would be your perogative and ultimately your problem. And a big one at that. I wouldn't suggest it, but free country and all.

But my God really needs no help from me.

If I started a thread mocking Christianity, I have a sneaking suspicion that most on here would not be so relaxed.

My guess this is your way of talking down to people.Movie talk wise....
maybe you should let the pastor speak for himself since your not doing so well for him.

I would. Like I said, its your issues. Not mine. In the words of Rocky, "go for it".

Holy cow, it must really hurt. Thats all I can say. I would suggest eating more fiber. But same as with hooker, its really ultimately your issue.

I thought this was an open forum?

I am not trying to be rude here but if Jesus is not in his tomb, where is he living? I thought our body only housed our soul, so why would Jesus need to take his body with him to heaven unless he is living right here on Earth as a "human". Just some thoughts.

At the end of the day, neither of you will convince the other.

Agree to disagree, believe what you choose to believe and go on...

You never know, and you nor I know. I was shocked to see folks that I talked too 5-6 years ago, come up and say, "man, you really annoyed me with your Jesus talk so many years ago, but this or that verse stuck with me, and i couldn't get it off my mind, and gave my life to Jesus Christ so and so time ago".

I even did the same thing with a guy I worked with. Mocked him, and was annoyed by him. Even disrespected his family at a company function talking about strippers and lewd acts. Later, I ate that crow. Felt good however.

Not sure, but he did walk the earth 40 days before pentacost. So, if he was going to walk the earth, he had to have a body. I would agree with you, if he was just called up from the tomb. But he wasn't.

I just thought the addition of other religions was quite tacky.

The preacher at the church I attended yesterday basically stated the same thing, and I kinda sighed and just shook my head, and was quickly elbowed in the side by my wife. It's just the kinda stuff that irks me.

Fair enough. Some things resonate with folks, some turn em off.

I myself never understood when folks attend any religious cemony but do not believe. I know I wouldn't and don't. If I don't believe the words of the Holy Bible, I should be tossing a repela on Sunday morning.

I was over in Tokyo, a few years ago, and all these Japanese took em to a buddist templethat was supposally famous. Everyone rubbed the head of the statue for good luck and expected me too. I refused. I explained my God is a rather jealous God.

Either Jesus Christ was the true Son of God, or he was a raving madman. Nothing in between. I hear folks, say, he was a good man, or a good teacher. I mean if we see a guy on the side of the street claiming to be a god preaching, later in life, we would not say, he was a good teacher.

I attend church a few times a year. Maybe once or twice with my parents if they ask, and usually on Easter Sunday with my wife's family. I go because I respect them and their beliefs. But each time I return, it just reminds me as to why I turned away from religion.

I don't have a dog in this fight other than a philosophical viewpoint. I for one would love the Pope to say the above and get it out into the open. Too many people live in a PC world these days. Just say whatever it is and stop being so darn PC. People talk in code and hide their true thoughts without saying anything. Society would be better off if people were just blatantly honest and open.

It amazes me how a simple statement from the original poster can turn a thread into a pissing match like this. If anything the original post has a lot of truth to it. Out of all mentioned the only tomb that is empty is that of Jesus Christ. I'm with B.C. on this. If you don't believe then spend you Sundays fishing and move on.
