Kids get some gifts and/or cash and that is really about all they care about. The majority of graduation parties is about the parents anyway.
Then I was raised in a whole different world. We made mistakes, we paid for them. Plain and simple. Heck, I am pretty sure if I had cops involved more than once (DWI, etc) - my parents would have kicked me out for not obeying their rules.
