Are there any computer programs out there that will let you upload data(points, tracks, etc) from multiple brands of GPS's? I currently have a Magellan but plan on getting a new one with topo/aerial capabilities within the next couple years.

If you are just wanting to import data FROM your GPS into the program, then I usually just use Google Earth for that. If I want to export it, then I use Google Earth to create the track/path/point/whatever, save it, and convert it with GPSBabel, which converts to most major brands just fine. GPSBabel will convert between GPS formats, too.

http://www.gpsbabel.org/ <--- note: it's not a mapping program, just a converter. But it works really well.)

My unit is a Garmin, and I've been using their new Basecamp software and Birdseye Satellite Imagery along with my topos, and so far it's working OK. Not a perfect program, but good enough.
