Driving down to Mobile, Al., for Thanksgiving, so I figure it's a good time to pick up a couple CDs I've been waiting for... Blake Shelton's "Startin' Fires" and Nickelback's new one, "Dark Horses". Anybody listened to either one yet?
Nickelback is the worst band in the history of the world. I can't believe that they're as popular as they are when they suck so incredibly bad. I seriously can't stand them. Every time they come on the radio I change the channel, but not before some sort of explative about how badly they suck. Their songs all sound the same and are completely unoriginal, uninspired made-for-radio garbage. I wish they would just go away and never make any crappy music again so I didn't have to hear it get overplayed 14 million times on the radio. /end rant Sorry Greg. :D
if you're a pink floyd fan I highly recommend checkin out David Gilmour 'Live at Gdansk', get the 4 disc set...
LOL, Justin... You need to hear all their songs they DON'T play on radio. For some reason, those sound entirely diffferent than the ones that get the airplay. That actually is my concern with this release, though... as I'd heard that Mutt Lange may have made this CD more "radio-friendly" than past efforts, and why I asked if anyone had heard it yet.
Greg - watch this and learn a little something about yourself. :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJKWPYOHTnI
I bought the new GN'R.... Not all that impressed... The best songs are the ones that have been out for a coupel years and the version of better that was leaked within the past year. I will admit, I have a strong dislike for nickleback as well. Actually, I cannot think of a modern day "rock" band that I dislike more. I am sorry as well Greg.
LOL...since I can't find the smiley giving the finger for Justin... :d Just rolled in to Great Grandma's house here in Huntsville, Al., and listened to a first pass of the new CD (as much as possible with the fader turned all the way to the front and the balance over to the left so as to not waken the baby or disturb the Spiderman movie playing in the back) on the way down here... First impression: it sucks. What I was afraid of looks like it happened. Mutt took all the edginess away and it's much more of a "production"... I was hoping they'd move back in the direction of "Silver Side Up", and they went and did a complete 180.
