Well this is a setup that I honestly got the idea for on the way to the land that we hunt. I had people telling me that they had been seeing deer here and I had seen them before to, but I was leary setting up on them for obvious reasons. The spot yielded no shot opportunities on this sit but it will soon. I know it will. I had 10 deer in front of me at dark and saw 15 total. Not too shabby by any means. There actually have been some bucks seen here in the past couple weeks. Hard to believe but there have been. It isn't my usual setup by any means. Lol.

As far as the actual setup, I used my climber on a triple tree (very tricky) but I have great cover. I'm about 15' or so feet up and it's PLENTY.

I'm 300yds from the house and about 100ish yds from the road. LOL.

Out of the 15 deer there were 6 fawns. 5 1.5yr old does. 2 2.5 yr old does. and 2 that were 3.5 yr plus. No bucks. It was something to see deer just PILING out of the woods into THIS field. I really wasn't expecting it.

The ones in the picture were the first three to come out in the field, they came out at just about 6:00 on the dot. I didn't get out this afternoon but I drove by and they were all out in the field again tonight.

One huge advantage of hunting with a bow over a gun.

Nothing wrong with that set up, you should see where me, my brother and gri22ly set up. People think we are crazy, but we like to hunt where the deer are, like that action.

paid off tonight. Saw a total of 12 deer but only a doe fawn gave me a shot opportunity. Took it and she was down 30yds later. Don't have too good of kill pictures, because I was by myself, (Buddy was buying a car) I'll try to get pictures here in a few minutes. This is number two on the year but first that I was able to take pictures of. Was fighting rain on the first one.
