Looks good Dan, I couldn't be any happier that you were the one to win the bow, you deserved it for all that you have done!

Just an FYI... G5's red peeps are NOT red... they're "orange-y"... ;)

I wasn't so much wanting the ''red'' with my Red Eye peep, I liked the design to allow more light without a huge hole. I just ordered a few black ones when I did.

Anyone know when they changed the "groove'?

    Sorry for the jack Crick.

Very nice looking rig you got there, you will like it alot!!! Congrats on the new bow.

On a side note, can you let me know how you like the NAP stabilizer? I'm thinking about adding that to my setup next. Thanks crick and congrats on the new bow again.

Ben, supposedly they started retooling to remove the sharp edge off shortly after production began and the complaints literally began POURING in... I saw 40-50 different threads of people having their strings cut with the original ones.

Unfortunately though... there's probably been that many strings cut with the revamped version as well. Red Eye was originally buying new strings for those who had it happen to, but I think that stopped a long time ago.

Sometimes, you'll see people defend them to the death... but that's a lot more rare than normal. I DO love the concept; in fact, I was one of the very first to buy them after their release at the ATA show. They just need to radius the edge a LOT more -- STILL.

Whatever you do... if you DO install one, don't do as Justin did and slide it along your string. ONLY move it if your string is COMPLETELY relaxed in a press and you can separate the strands while doing so.

That's the only way I install a peep and with serving it in, it doesn't slide at all. I've shot an entire 3D league and turkey season prep with both SWAT's with (black) Red Eye's so I guessing I'll be ok. I'll look when I get home.

So long as the peep doesn't move I can't see it being a problem. When I first tied mine in I had just sold my Elite and forgot to measure the distance from my peep to my loop. So I installed the peep with some temporary serving around it, then slid it up and down a couple times until I got it just right. Bad idea.

Right now I have the "stray" strand served in above and below the peep so it's not coming unraveled, but a new string will be on its way shortly. EP Hunting (the manufacturer) told me to send them the peep back and they'd send me a new one. I saved the postage and just tossed it in the garbage.

Nice looking bow. I can't imagine how cool it would be to just buy accessories.
