Got some bad news today...

Is that up and come'er black or is it he just in shade?

That stinks. I saw a monster buck dead on the freeway by us, that looks exactly like your buck. But it would've had to travel 600 miles to get to us.

 

either that buck has a wicked cool coat or the shadows make it look like that

 

The wife of someone I know hit him. He's a hunter and kept him....kept what meat was good and will keep the rack...euro or skull cap mount. I didn't actually see him dead. I just heard a big 8 was hit around here so I sent a pic to some one that was there. He confirmed it was this buck. He's also a hunter and I trust his judgement. I'm trying to get a hold of the guy who's wife hit it so I can go by to take a look.

 

He's in the shadows. His coat may be a shade darker than the average coat, but it's normal.

 

that's tough luck!! would have been nice to get another one on film for the show I bet!! I like the looks of the up and comer though!!
