Sweet looking ride! I'm not all that much on chrome these days (mainly b/c my barn makes the crap rust like crazy!) but that really looks good!

I know, man........ those are the GF's lights. You should see how many she puts up!! :deer:

Jeff, The saddle bags come off with two bolts. It would look better without them but I need them if I'm going on a trip anywhere. Been thinking about a new seat too. The chrome swing arms sound good also! Probably going to do the chrome lower forks as well. It's only money!!

    Thanks for the comments!

Is it actually more comfortable having them up that high?

    Does look good though.

I didn't either! I had to do something so it didn't seem like I was leaning forward so much, especially on longer trips.

Damn Greg, going on 11 weeks waiting on mine. I contemplated ape hangers, maybe a low set but I'll have to feel her out first. What made you go to ape hangers? (for my own consideration).

#1 I wanted to sit more upright. With the extended forward controls causing my legs to be more stretched out, it felt like like I was leaning forward too much. The apes brought the bars closer to me and now I'm not leaning forward.

#2 I think they look cool. I see way more beach bars and drag bars than anything so I went this route.

i'm not much of an apes kinda guy to me they look very uncomfortable for anything but short across town trips... I would prefer having a standard type of bar that simply has a bit more pull back and not so much rise... kinda like the bars/riser on a deuce... the most rise/pullback I can stand is those on the heritage classic, anymore and its simply to much for me... love to looks, but comfort is way more important...

    nice bike either way bro

    Thanks Greg,

Last time I sat on my Fat Boy, (at the dealer  ) I felt I could use the bars closer. Then after your post I saw a FB with ape hangers and they looked fantastic. I guess I'll pick up the bike once the sheet metal comes in and then I'll see if it's how I want it. I may end up with some ape hangers myself.
