Got my crazy buck back from the taxi a few days ago. It's one I have numerous trail cam pics of, so it makes it cooler. I'm fairly happy with it, but not overly so. I think the work looks good, but when I look at it I think "that looks like a young deer". I know this is a 3.5 year old buck, but the mount seems to make it look younger. Thoughts?

I'd love to see some different angles but that angle looks pretty good to me.

Looks great. Not sure that I'd guess 3.5 but who cares.

Definately a nice deer and a nice mount, but I'd say more like a 2.5 if i had to guess.

I wouldn't have noticed it, if you hadn't pointed it out... but either way... dude, what a unique stud!!

Thanks. Where I hunt, a buck won't grow that much antler (not that it's a lot) in 2.5 years. Genetics are poor, and food sources are not abundant.

Looks good. No complaints. What does mount cost in your neck of the woods. We have a guy up here in NY that does an excellent job for 400 to 450. Turns them around in about 4 to 6 months.

The going rate is around $500 in my region. Mine was $550.

What you're noticing is the mannikin might be a tad small. Lots of loose skin on the buck photographed, yours has none. The work looks clean though. Take a pin n push the hair in where it's sticking out of base. Nice buck
