i got my 11 pointer back on friday and just got back into town with another load of my stuff. i scored him (just my scoring but i know i'm close) 142 7/8 gross and 134 6/8 net, so even if i'm off some i know he made P&Y. here are some pics of it and of my two mounts now at my home. the one pic is my dad holding mine up to his 10 pointer he shot a few years back in gun season. we decided that his rack is way wider but they are about the same height and mine has a bigger neck. wish the mount was up north at the land but since it's being sold had to bring em home.
Congrats on the buck and the mount.. looks great! Just curious... was he taken out of (or very near) some real dense.. low cover.. like heavy raspberry.. or perhaps buckthorn thicket?
no not really. fairly open oaks, very hilly, i called him in after 2 does had passed by my stand. we have some really thick pines but not near where i got him and as far as i know there are no raspberry's anywhere on the property. not sure if any of the properties surrounding ours has them?
