This is my first year hunting and I am already addicted! I have been hunting since opening day here in NY which was Oct. 1st, and haven't seen any bucks. I could have taken a good sized doe, but she had two little ones still with her so I let her walk. Today, I found 4 scrapes by one of my stands and put up a mock scrape a little closer to where the stand is. Then, I went to my other stand and checked my trail camera...this is what I found! My stand is about 30 yards to his immediate left, so I might put up another mock scrape by that stand as well and try to get him coming back and a little closer. Any tips for doing that? I know you mid-west guys are laughing at this buck...but around here that's a respectable deer. Especially for my first one! I'll keep you guys posted...
