    Got my first deer ever this Tuesday - saw everything in slow motion, the arrow's flight and all... and was happy it was a good shot too. We ate one of the tenderloins tonight and my daughter (17) said, "it tastes like filet mignon". :-)

    Hang in there ... I'm a big gun hunter too , when the season comes in ... I promise you , there is NOTHING like taking one with a bow !!! I know your feeling , I wanted it BAD for a while , but in the end , I promise , all the hard work and persistence is well worth it !!! Happy hunting to you !

    Congratulations brother. Your now a member of the "Give em the shaft" club, I wish you many, many more years of bow hunting success. Now bowhunting.com rules state that you must send some deer jerky from your first bow kill to everyone that has posted on this thread. lol jk
