ok added a pic. so this is my first year deer hunting. went out several times with my bow in sept/oct. Got a shot off at one but never found it. Pretty sure it was a brisket shot. I posted about it when it happened.( i was pissed for weeks i messed up) So missouri gun season was a few weeks ago and i went out with my 30 06. 3 does came out to 30 yards right in front of me and i let one have it. hit her right in the lungs. i watched her run about 50 yards and fall. I look back up and another doe is standing looking right at me dazed. She was hit from the first shot standing on the side of the deer i shot. So i took a shot and put her down. So my first deer kill was 2 deer.( Lots of meat in freezer) I really wish it would have been with a bow. I feel like i cheated lol. But i couldnt pass up gun season never have killing a deer before. More of a sure thing. anyways MO bow season goes until the middle of jan. I plan on going back out a few more times. There are 3 shooter bucks on my cam. I really want one of those guys.
Congratulations! You have to start somewhere. It took me years to get my first one with the bow. When I started there was no internet. I know all the information on here and other places will cut down on the learning curve. Keep at it! That first one is a great feeling! You'll never forget it. Good luck!

Congrats on your first deer! It is a great feeling. But do not be surprised if that first one with a bow is more satisfying. Even if it just another doe.

Nice job! I shot my first deer with a bow earlier this year, but I shot my first with a gun, 12g, slug, two days ago. It may not have been quite as rewarding as with a bow, but it was still really satisfying, and the whole hunt was one ill always remember . I'm sure a lot of the work and learning you did during bow season contributed to your success!
It is always a great feeling to get your first deer on the ground even if it is with a gun. Great Job!!!
Awesome. Nothing like the first one. Congrats! My now 17yr old, & 14yr old both took their 1st deer this season. 17's 1st was with his Bow. 14's was with a rifle. Hard to say who was more excited. They were both ecstatic to say the least.
