So I got a 2010 Fred Bear Game Over from a friend of a friend. Got it with new string (recently done at bass pro), QAD UltraRest Hunter, optic sight, and limbsaver stabilizer for 100 bucks! He really needed some money. I cannot wait to start hunting with it! I was in the Marine Corps for a long time so I gotta have something cool for guns to excite me anymore, so this bow hunting should really do the trick.

Anyways... I need a quiver, release, and arrows, possibly a new sight. Any suggestions on newbie budget items would be greatly appreciated. And any suggestions or advice on experience with my specific bow is appreciated as well!

Don't let anyone pull your bow back and dry fire it. Best advice I got for you

If you haven't already, take it to a bow shop n have it adjusted for your draw length. You can pick up some tips for form and what not while you're there.

I agree, don't let anyone draw your bow. My bow is mine. NO ONE touches it!

    Welcome to the addiction!

Thanks guys. Yeah I was thinking about taking it in tomorrow to get the draw length looked at. I feel like it's just a tad too long. But I don't know if the length is adjustable, I know the draw weight is. So I'm really hoping its adjustable. And yes.... Have heard from many people before... NO DRY FIRING!

Does anybody have this bow and know whether the length is adjustable????

    Thanks again

Welcome and thank you for your service. I'm new to the sport as well. From what I have read it seems that your bow is adjustable on draw length.
