This will be a first for me. Hunting turkey w/a bow. Figure, if I'm out for deer might as well try for one of those. On the property I will be hunting, the landowner said that a troop of them come walking thru everyday around 5:30.

    Good luck getting a bird:d

Here in OK our turkey archery season is the same as deer archery season, so if a nace gobbler wanders by while I'm out bowhunting, he's in trouble:tu:

I ususally keep a mouth call in my pack just in case I feel like going after birds or I get that "no deer are coming" vibe.

    I got my 4 as well.:deer:

It is fun, and they are a LOT harder to get to full draw on than a deer IMO. they have amazing sight. I hope to take a few hens to fry this fall, as we are only allowed one gobbler if I get the chance at one. Up to 4 turkey, but only one may have a beard greater than 3 inches.

Best of luck bro. get you a deer first though, the team needs ya.:d

I have my 4 tags. They are good for fall and spring '09. I'll have to save a couple for then. Yeah, like I'll have an option! If I'm lucky enough to get one this fall it will be just that...luck!
