Be careful what you wish for! Been praying for a good rain, it's been really dry. Well we got it today. Thunderstorms ripped through Central NY this afternoon leaving quite the aftermath. Power out, trees and limbs down everywhere. One tree in particular on the golf course that I really could not afford to lose. Made a dog leg left tough, long hole into a straight hit it where you want easy par four. Looks like a couple days of cleanup. Man that was nasty. I dont' ever remember seeing it rain that hard in my life. Couldn't see out the windows of the clubhouse. Be interesting to see what they determine it was. Straight line winds or something else, but what a mess. I was actually driving when it hit and was 5 minutes from the course. Saw a big limb falling from a tree that missed my truck by about 2 feet. Wonder how davidmil made out. Looked like some pretty ugly stuff up his way.

I lead a charmed life. It went north, south and occured west. We just got a nice rain. They had hail almost golf ball sized not too far west and north. We just got some nice needed rain. Sorry your course got whacked.

We got it pretty good, it just got done passing through. I was driving home from work when it came through, and saw a couple of trees down. Nothing too bad at home but the road sign in front of the house was flutting in the wind like a piece of paper on a twig. At least it washed all the pollen off my boat cover.
