    If its not a hassle, you can just cut the patch of skin all the neck hackles are attached too. It would need to be washed and dried, but then you wouldn't have to pluck any of it. I'm sure I could put even the small ones to use.

    If its a hassle, don't worry about it.

    I breed/sell/show American Gamefowl. Currently we have 26 brood cocks, 48 brood hens, 126 stags and 80 pullets. By far the best fowl out there lol not great for meat, not great for eggs, all cocks must be kept seperate as they will kill each other no ifs and or buts about it. BUT, they are the greatest looking of all fowl. Long tails, long hackle feathers, awesomely broody hens. If youre looking for a rooster just to keep around, I would suggest an american game.

    Oops! How easy they are to pluck ... compared to pheasants ...

    The bleed alot comment ... we cut the jugular and the blood just poured out ... he died fast...

    We got our goats a couple days ago and one is still giving milk. Chickens love fresh goat's milk.

    I gave my chickens leftover t bone steak bones with meat on them .... they tore them up!! Lol
